Lt. Col. Mark W. Clifton (center right), of Edmond, Okla., passes the unit colors of the 120th Engineer Battalion to Sgt. Maj. James J. Ivy (center left), of Newcastle, Okla., during a change of command ceremony on Sunday, Sept. 15. The passing of the unit colors is a time-honored tradition within the Army to signify that the outgoing unit commander has passed on the command of the unit to the incoming commander. The ceremony also included a change of responsibility in which Ivy assumed the position of the unit's command sergeant major.
