U.S. Marine Pfc. Harrison Majszak, a rifleman with Battalion Landing Team, 2nd Battalion, 1st Marines, Echo Company, attached to the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit (Special Operations Capable), fires his M-16A4 assault rifle at targets during a live-fire training range as part of Exercise Bright Star, Sept. 20. The exercise is designed to enhance the interoperability and cohesiveness of coalition forces through various training scenarios, to include amphibious and combined-arms operations. The six-week exercise affords U.S. service members the opportunity to build awareness and relationships with the host nation of Egypt and fellow coalition forces.
