KHAWR AL AMAYA OIL TERMINAL, North Arabian Gulf -- Master-at-Arms 2st Class Matt Tronboll of San Diego, Calif., inspects .50 caliber ammunition prior to conducting routine weapons training aboard the Iraqi oil terminal Khawr Al Amaya, Sept. 27. Tronbol is assigned to the Norfolk, Va.-based Mobile Security Detachment 25 (MSD 25). MSD 25, part of a multinational coalition conducting maritime security operations (MSO), is working directly with Iraqi maritime forces to prevent attacks against the oil terminals that provide a significant source of Iraq's revenue. MSO set the conditions for security and stability in the maritime environment as well as complement the counter-terrorism and security efforts of regional nations. MSO deny international terrorists use of the maritime environment as a venue for attack or to transport personnel, weapons, or other material. U.S. Navy photo by Chief Journalist Tom Jones.
