KHAWR AL AMAYA OIL TERMINAL, North Arabian Gulf -- Master-at-Arms 2nd Class Ramon Gomez (left) of Las Vegas, Engineman 3rd Class Sean Connick of Chester, Va., and Master-at-Arms 3rd Class Kevin Morgan of Palm Bay, Fla., all members of the Norfolk, Va.-based Mobile Security Detachment 25 (MSD 25), inspect .50 caliber ammunition prior to their routine weapons training, Sept. 27. MSD 25, part of a multinational coalition conducting maritime security operations (MSO), is working directly with Iraqi maritime forces to prevent attacks against the oil terminals that provide a significant source of Iraq's revenue. MSO set the conditions for security and stability in the maritime environment as well as complement the counter-terrorism and security efforts of regional nations. MSO deny international terrorists use of the maritime environment as a venue for attack or to transport personnel, weapons, or other material. U.S. Navy photo by Chief Journalist Tom Jones.
