Marines with 2nd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, advance up a hill after landing at the beach aboard amphibious assault vehicles during Exercise Steel Knight 2014 here, Dec. 9, 2013. Steel Knight is a large-scale, combined arms, live fire exercise integrating the ground combat element from 1st Marine Division with aviation and logistical support from 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing and 1st Marine Logistics Group, enabling I Marine Expeditionary Force to test and refine its command and control capabilities while honing its conventional warfighting skills.
