Marines with 2nd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, establish security on Red Beach after exiting an assault amphibious vehicle with 3rd Assault Amphibian Battalion in support of Exercise Steel Knight 2014 at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton Dec. 9, 2014. The Marines established security on the beach before they maneuvered through a mock village. Steel Knight is a large-scale, combined arms, live fire exercise integrating the ground combat element from 1st Marine Division with aviation and logistical support from 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing and 1st Marine Logistics Group.
