Scott Stapp, the former lead singer of the music group Creed, lets his voice echo to the his furthest fan on the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan's flight deck while singing his hit song, "With Arms Wide Open" during an concert sponsored by the ship's Morale, Welfare, and Recreation Department. Stapp took a moment to talk to his audience and reflect on his feelings when he had heard that he was soon to be a father and sat down to write this song. MWR sponsors events to raise to Sailor morale and provide Sailors with unique recreation activities. Ronald Reagan is currently deployed in the 5th Fleet/NAVCENT area of responsibilities. Operations in the NAVCENT area of operations are focused on reassuring regional partners of the United States' commitment to security, which promotes stability and global prosperity.
