An AH-64D Apache attack helicopter from the Combat Aviation Brigade, 4th Infantry Division, Multi-National Division - Baghdad, departs after being refueled by an Advanced Aviation Forward Area Refueling System during a training exercise at Camp Taji, Nov. 24. The AAFARS is a modular, portable, lightweight refueling apparatus designed for rapid refueling of forward-area military aircraft. It consists of multiple, high-capacity collapsible fuel drums powered by a 17 Shaft Horse Power engine capable of pumping 240 gallons-per-minute. Soldiers from the brigade have been conducting the refueling exercises throughout the month of November.
