The 35th Commandant of the Marine Corps, General James F. Amos, delivers a speach near the Devil Dog Fountain during a reception which followed the Belleau Wood Ceremony. Each year around this time Marines from this headquarters make the five-hour drive to France within 50 miles of Paris to support the annual Belleau Wood Ceremony. This year participation included placing flags in front of each grave stone, crowd control, wreath bearers and photography of the events.
