Royal Canadian Navy Leading Seaman Zack Verdun, Fleet Diving Atlantic out of Halifax, rinses down his dive equipment to remove salt water and prevent corrosion on June 2 here. Verdun and other members of the diving unit are instructing members of several maritime services from 11 participating Caribbean nations during Tradewinds 2014. Tradewinds is a joint, combined, exercise conducted in conjunction with partner nations to enhance the collective abilities of defense forces and constabularies to counter transnational organized crime and to conduct humanitarian/disaster relief operations.
