Able Seaman Imran Charles, Antigua and Barbuda Defence Force (ABDF) Coast Guard, jumps into the water following a fellow ABDF Coast Guard member during dive training on June 3, 2014. The training, provided to members of Coast Guard, Navy and Marine Police units from 11 Caribbean partner nations, gave standardized procedures to inspect ship hulls for possible mines or fittings placed by means of sabotage. Divers were able to practice inspection procedures on the U.S. Army New Orleans, docked in Antigua for Tradewinds 2014. Tradewinds is a joint, combined, exercise conducted in conjunction with partner nations to enhance the collective abilities of defense forces and constabularies to counter transnational organized crime and to conduct humanitarian/disaster relief operations.
