Members of the AV-8 Fleet Support Team based out of Cherry Point, N.C., cleanup and collect the remaining material from the AV-8B Harrier II crash site in Imperial, Calif., Tuesday. Marines from Marine Wing Support Squadron 371 and other elements of 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing from Marine Corps Air Station Yuma, Ariz., have been recovering pieces of the aircraft over the past week. We are finishing reclamation of the aircraft and will transfer the site to the City of Imperial, said Capt. John Stuart, the Harrier crash site officer-in-charge for the day. The environmental contractors working with the city will take samples and tests of the site to ensure the removal of contaminants.
