Soldiers from Headquarters and Headquarters Company “Hammer,” 1st Brigade Combat Team “Ironhorse,” 1st Cavalry Division, and others from across Fort Hood, attended the Single Soldier’s Fest hosted by Fort Hood's Better Opportunities for Single Soldiers, June 13 at Belton Lake Outdoor Recreation Area. Spc. Molly Brown, a small arms artillery repairer volunteered throughout the day and said she saw nothing but smiles and laughter. “The best thing for resilience is an outlet of some kind,” said Brown, a Gilpin County, Colorado native. The annual event gives single Soldiers the outlet they need to relax and also meet new people, Brown added. (U.S. Army Photo by Spc. Paige Behringer, 1st BCT PAO, 1st Cav. Div. (released)
