In this work from the U.S. Coast Guard Art Program 2014 Collection, "Boarding Mission," ID# 201409, Senegalese marines and Coast Guardsmen with the USCGC Forward (WMEC 911) approach a Senegalese-flagged fishing vessel during an African Maritime Law Enforcement Partnership boarding mission. The ship was found to be fishing without a permit, and the crew was escorted back to port. AMLEP is a branch of Africa Partnership Station, which works side-by-side with regional maritime services in order to stop and deter illicit transnational maritime activity.
