Marines stabilize their Combat Rubber Raiding Craft after broaching the craft during a month-long coxswains course July 22 at White Beach Naval Facility, Okinawa, Japan. The purpose of broaching is to simulate a small boat capsizing in turbulent waters and complete the steps necessary to recover the craft. Following completion of the course the Marines will gain an additional military occupational specialty of 0316, or CRRC coxswain.
