Senior Chief Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technician (EWS/SW/AW/FPJ) Kevin Lundgren, of Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Unit (EODMU) 11, from Boise, Idaho, describes the bike portion of a triathlon to participants on the Naval Air Station Whidbey Island Seaplane Base, Aug. 7. This is the fourth year the triathlon, which includes a 500-yard swim, a 13-mile bike ride, and three-mile run, has been held. This year the event was held in conjunction with EODMU-11’s “Last Blast," a week-long series of events for the command to say goodbye to the Whidbey Island community before leaving on deployment later this year and moving to San Diego in June, 2010.
