Marines with motor transport platoon, 3rd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, based out of Marine Corps Base Hawaii, Kaneohe Bay, return from an advanced convoy exercise on the training ranges surrounding Yuma, Ariz., Thursday, Oct. 2, 2014. At the beginning of the exercise, these vehicles countered a simulated ambush with machine gun fire – a facet added by the platoon’s staff in order to bring more depth to a typical resupply mission.
