Following a 3-mile motivational run in honor of the 239th Marine Corps Birthday Celebration, Marines and sailors from Headquarters Battalion, Marine Corps Forces Reserve, gather around to receive instruction from the Battalion Commander, Col. Steven Godinho, at Marine Corps Force Reserve Support Facility, New Orleans, La., Nov. 7, 2014. The Marines and sailors had just completed a motivational run that started at Marine Corps Force Reserve Support Facility and traveled along the Mississippi River banks through the streets of Algiers Point. Over 500 Marines and sailors assigned to the command partook in this year’s event. This year marks the 239th Anniversary of the founding of the United States Marine Corps.
