French army veterans stand at attention during the playing of Taps during the Peace Ceremony held in Ste Mere Eglise, France, June 6. The Peace Ceremony is part of the Normandy 65th Anniversary of D-Day 1944. The Peace ceremony was highlighted by speeches from local dignitaries, children singing the national anthems of France and America, the placing of flowers on monuments and the releasing of doves as a symbol for world peace.
