Command Sgt. Maj. Dennis Law, of the 17th Civil Affair and Psychological Operations Command, shares a joke with World War II Veterans and their family members before the Peace Ceremony in Ste. Mere Eglise, France. The Peace Ceremony was part of a week-long celebration of the Normandy 65th Anniversary. The ceremony was highlighted with speeches by local dignitaries, children singing the national anthems of France and America, the placing of flowers on monuments and the releasing of doves, as a symbol for world peace.
