Mere Eglise, France, welcomes all the World War II veterans, service members and spectators to the Peace Ceremonies commemorating the June 6, 1944, airborne invasion of Normandy, and the 65th Anniversary of D-DAY, highlighted by speeches by local dignitaries, children singing the nation anthems of France and America, the placing of flower on monuments and the releasing of doves as a symbol for world peace.
