Lithuanian citizens of Marijampole, Lithuania, flooded the parking lot of a local Maxima supermarket March 24 to see a static display of U.S. and Lithuanian Army vehicles including the Strykers of Iron Troop, 2nd Cavalry Regiment. The 2nd CR is conducting a Dragoon Ride from Tapa, Estonia, where they have been training with the Estonian Army for three months as a part of Operation Atlantic Resolve to their home base in Vilseck, Germany. Here, Cpl. Tristan Miller poses for a photo with a young Lithuanian girl.
Operation Atlantic Resolve is a demonstration of continued U.S. commitment to the collective security of NATO and to enduring peace and stability in the Baltic Region. Enhanced land force multi-national training and security cooperation activities take place across Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and Romania to ensure multi-national interoperability and strengthen relationships among allied militaries.
