A Marine with Light Armored Reconnaissance, Battalion Landing Team 2/6, 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit, lies on the ground as a simulated casualty shortly after a mock Improvised Explosive Device is detonated aboard Fort Pickett, Va., April 15, 2015. The Marines with the unit went through a short IED lane in which they were tasked with seeking out and clearing the trail of the devices. During this training, the Marines were informed they would find one IED and then be hit by a triggered IED to see how they react to the blast and the realness of the situation.
