150508-N-IY633-017 ATLANTIC OCEAN (May 8, 2015) – Standing NATO Maritime Group 2 (SNMG2) Staff Communications Officer Lt. Cmdr. Gabriel Rodriguez Ruiz coordinates battle group movements as battle watch captain in the combat information center aboard SNMG2 flagship USS Vicksburg (CG 69) during exercise Dynamic Mongoose. Dynamic Mongoose is an annual anti-submarine warfare (ASW) exercise hosted by NATO Submarine Command aimed at enhancing ASW ability and techniques. Submarines from Germany, Norway, Sweden, and the United States are participating with surface ships from Canada, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Spain, Turkey, the United Kingdom, and the United States to participate in the exercise.
