AMES, Iowa, (May 9, 2015) – Iowa State University Naval Reserve Officers' Training Corps (NROTC) Midshipman 1st Class Leah Marie Vander Boon is introduced during a commissioning ceremony in the Memorial Union on campus here May 9. Vander Boon was commissioned to second lieutenant in the U.S. Marine Corps and joined four other ISU midshipmen who were commissioned to U.S. Navy ensigns or Marine Corps second lieutenants.
