AMES, Iowa, (May 9, 2015) – Iowa State University Naval Reserve Officers' Training Corps (NROTC) Midshipman 1st Class Connor Henkle is commissioned by his grandfather, retired Navy Capt. Robert Mullin, during a commissioning ceremony in the Memorial Union on campus here, May 9. Henkle was commissioned to ensign in the U.S. Navy and joined four other ISU midshipmen who were commissioned to U.S. Navy ensigns or Marine Corps second lieutenants.
