AMES, Iowa, (May 9, 2015) – Iowa State University Naval Reserve Officers' Training Corps (NROTC) professor of Naval Science (NSI) and commanding officer Capt. Ricks W. Polk congratulates Midshipman 1st Class Jovanie Martinez during a commissioning ceremony in the Memorial Union on campus here May 9. Martinez was commissioned to second lieutenant in the U.S. Marine Corps and joined four other ISU midshipmen who were commissioned to U.S. Navy ensigns or Marine Corps second lieutenants.
