A Djiboutian Armed Forces (FAD) officer briefs his troops before a mission as part of a culmination exercise outside of Djibouti City, Djibouti, May 11, 2015. U.S. Army Soldiers from the 47th Transportation Company, 142nd Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, 1st Armored Division Sustainment Brigade; the 123rd Brigade Support Battalion, 3rd Brigade, 1st Armored Division; and U.S. Navy Seabees from Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 14 conducted counter-improvised explosive device, medical, and heavy equipment training. The training exercises are a culmination event for the FAD, happening for the first time after months of working with U.S. joint forces in an initiative to enhance the capability of the Djiboutian military.
