Djiboutian Armed Forces (FAD) ceremonial band members wait before a graduation ceremony begins outside of Djibouti City, Djibouti, May 14, 2015. U.S. Army Soldiers from the 47th Transportation Company, 142nd Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, 1st Armored Division Sustainment Brigade; the 123rd Brigade Support Battalion, 3rd Brigade, 1st Armored Division; U.S. Navy Explosive Ordnance Disposal team members from Task Force Sparta; and U.S. Navy Seabees from Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 14 conducted counter-improvised explosive device, medical, and heavy equipment training with the FAD. The graduation ceremony celebrates the completion of the training exercises, which were culmination event for the FAD, happening for the first time after months of working with U.S. joint forces in an initiative to enhance the capability of the Djiboutian military.
