Members of the Djiboutian Armed Forces (FAD) utilize a mine resistant ambush protected vehicle to conduct counter improvised explosive device sweeps outside of Djibouti City, Djibouti, May 7, 2015. U.S. Army Soldiers from the 47th Transportation Company, 142nd Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, 1st Armored Division Sustainment Brigade and the 123rd Brigade Support Battalion, 3rd Brigade, 1st Armored Division provided the FAD with training in advanced C-IED techniques. The training exercises are a culmination event for the FAD, happening for the first time after months of working with U.S. joint forces in an initiative to enhance the capability of the Djiboutian military.
