ARABIAN GULF (April 30, 2015) – A rigid-hull inflatable boat (RHIB) is lowered into position for Sailors and civilian contractors assigned to Commander, Task Group (CTG) 56.1, to board during mine countermeasure training operations aboard the Afloat Forward Staging Base (Interim) USS Ponce (AFSB(I)-15). CTG 56.1 conducts mine countermeasures, explosive ordnance disposal, salvage-diving, and force protection operations throughout the US 5th Fleet area of operations.
