ARABIAN GULF (May 5, 2015) – Crew members assigned to the Afloat Forward Staging Base (Interim) USS Ponce (AFSB(I)-15) crane a rigid-hull inflatable boat (RHIB) onto the ship after Sailors and civilian contractors assigned to Commander, Task Group (CTG) 56.1 returned from deploying underwater unmanned vehicles during mine countermeasure training operations. CTG 56.1 conducts mine countermeasures, explosive ordnance disposal, salvage-diving, and force protection operations throughout the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
