ARABIAN GULF (May 5, 2015) – Sailors and civilian contractors assigned to Commander, Task Group (CTG) 56.1 return to the Afloat Forward Staging Base (Interim) USS Ponce (AFSB(I)-15) where crew members wait to crane the rigid-hull inflatable boat (RHIB) onto the ship during mine countermeasure training operations. CTG 56.1 conducts mine countermeasures, explosive ordnance disposal, salvage-diving, and force protection operations throughout the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
