Soldiers of Sandston-based Battery B, 1st Battalion, 111th Field Artillery Regiment, 116th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, Virginia Army National Guard fire their M119A2 howitzers for an indirect fire mission June 14, 2015, at Fort Drum, N.Y. The mission was in support of a combined arms exercise with infantrymen of 1st Battalion, engineers of 116th Brigade Special Troops Battalion, forward observers of Headquarters Company 116th IBCT, and joint terminal attack controllers of 18th Air Support Operations Squadron, North Carolina Air National Guard based in Albermale, N.C. The combined arms exercise was part of a larger Multi-echelon Integrated Brigade Training exercise for the 116th IBCT.
