150313-N-OT964-165 WASHINGTON (March 13, 2015) Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy (MCPON) Mike Stevens delivers opening remarks during the ship naming ceremony announcing the Guided-Missile Destroyer (DDG 119), as the future USS Delbert D. Black. Secretary of the Navy (SECNAV) Ray Mabus officially released the name of DDG 119, which is the first U.S Navy ship to be named after a Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy, and honors the legacy of service of the Navy's first MCPON, Delbert D.
