U.S. Marine Cole Jones, a 2004 Burley High School graduate, was promoted to the rank of sergeant, Oct. 1, at Camp Pendleton, Calif., where he is currently stationed. Born and raised in Burley, Idaho, Wright graduated boot camp from San Diego's Marine Corps Recruit Depot in 2004. Jones currently serves as an intelligence analyst with 1st Marine Division. Wright's plans for the future are to continue his career and stay Marine. Jones' favorite thing about being a U.S. Marine is "the pride of belonging to such an extremely disciplined and well organized branch of military service."
