U.S. Marine Adam Wright, a 2003 Hammondsport High School graduate, was promoted to the rank of sergeant, Oct. 1, at Camp Pendleton, Calif., where he is currently stationed. Born and raised in Hammondsport, N.Y., Wright graduated boot camp from Parris Island's Marine Corps Recruit Depot in February of 2006. Wright currently serves as an intelligence analyst with 1st Marine Division. Wright's plans for the future are to finish his time honorably and attend Stanford University next fall.
