    United States Air Forces Central

F-16CG Fighting Falcon over central Iraq, approaches a KC-135R/T Stratotanker for an air refueling. The F-16 is deployed to the 421st Expeditionary Fighter Squadron, Balad Air Base, Iraq, from 388th Fighter Wing, Hill Air Force Base, Utah. The refueling boom (left) is flown by a boom operator which uses the black ruddervators to fly the boom and when positioned, will extend a probe into the receptacle in the top of the fighter. This is done at aircraft cruizing speeds. (U.S. Air Force photo/Master Sgt. Lance Cheung)
