F-16CG Fighting Falcon patrols the skies over Forward Operating Base Speicher, Iraq, 14 May, 2006. The fighter is deployed to the 332nd Air Expeditionary Wing (AEW), Balad Air Base, Iraq from its homestation 177th Fighter Wing (ANG), Atlantic City, New Jersey. In two months, Balad Air Base's two F-16 squadrons fly about 6,000 hours -- more than a U.S.-based unit flies in one year.
