Eric K. Fanning, acting under secretary of the Army, learns about the advanced training capabilities offered at the Medical Simulation Training Center on Fort Bragg, N.C., Aug. 11. The Medical Simulation Training Center offers realistic medical training using state of the art technology to sustain a wide spectrum of training needs; from basic combat life saving measures taught to all soldiers, to advanced medical procedures employed by the highly trained medics of the Special Forces. Fanning visited the post to observe both conventional and special operations capabilities first hand and to discuss concerns of the individual soldiers and commanders. Fort Bragg is the home of the nation's premier rapid deployment ground force, capable of deploying with little to no-notice anywhere in the world in 18 hours. (U.S. Army Photo by Staff Sgt.
