ARABIAN GULF (August 17, 2015) Cpl. Alex Paugh from the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) drives an environmentally-safe golf ball off the flight deck of the Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Essex (LHD 2) as part of a Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) event. Essex is the flag ship of the Essex Amphibious Group (ARG) and, with the embarked 15th MEU, is deployed in support of maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
