ARABIAN GULF (Aug. 17, 2015) Mass Communication Specialist 2nd Class Liam Kennedy, from Navy Public Affairs Support Element (NPASE), drives an environmentally-sound golf ball from the flight deck of Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Essex (LHD 2) as part of a Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) event. Essex is the flag ship of the Essex Amphibious Group (ARG) and, with the embarked 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), is deployed in support of maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
