A Ugandan boy waits to see Pajimo Clinic's Stella Betty Lamono. A certified midwife who later in the day delivered a child, Stella helped translate at the triage station. Though many Ugandans speak English, there are more than 40 major dialects spoken in that nation, and coordination with local speakers of Acholi and Luganda was critical to the success of the medical outreach mission. The medical outreach was part of U.S. Army Africa's Natural Fire, a partnership exercise between the United States and five East African nations: Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda and Burundi.
