A Ugandan boy holds medicine given to him at the Pajimo Clinic in the rural Kitgum district. Over 700 people per day came to be treated by U.S. Army Reserve Soldiers from the 7225th Medical Support Unit, Greenville, S.C., and the 629th Forward Surgical Team of Columbus, Ohio, who were working side-by-side with Ugandan and Tanzanian providers as well as U.S. Navy dentists. Common treatments included extracting teeth, providing medications for malaria, parasites and skin infections, and even issuing eyeglasses.
