DEVESELU, Romania (Sept. 14, 2015) - Naval Support Facility (NSF) Deveselu Commanding Officer Capt. William Garren gives remarks at Deveselu School's first-day of school ceremony, Sept. 14, 2015. The school was renovated earlier this year, and a new kindergarten was built, using humanitarian assistance from U.S. European Command, and coordinated by the U.S. Office of Defense Cooperation, and the U.S. Embassy in Bucharest. NSF Deveselu has an ongoing relationship with the school and Sailors regularly participate in activities with students. NSF Deveselu is the first Aegis Ashore Missile Defense Facility in Europe and is Phase II of the European Phased Adaptive Approach to ballistic missile defense. (U.S. Navy photo by Lt.
