The amphibious assault ship USS Nassau (LHA 4) is anchored off the coast of North Carolina embarking personnel and equipment from the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit for a Composite Unit Training Exercise. COMPTUEX is designed to provide realistic training environments for U.S. naval forces that closely replicate the operational challenges routinely encountered during military operations worldwide.
