Land (AS 39), observes and takes notes as duty personnel execute damage control procedures during a fire drill. As DCTT leader he provides feedback to duty personnel following the drill to improve damage control effectiveness. Harshman is a reservist filling a gapped billet created when the prior training officer was reassigned to support a specific repir department manning requirement. Emory S. Land is a forward deployed expeditionary submarine tender on a n extended deployment conducting coordinated tended moorings and afloat maintenance in the U.S. 5th and 7th Fleet areas of responsibility.
