U.S. NAVAL BASE GUAM (Sept. 18, 2015)- Capt. Mark A. Prokopius (right), commanding officer onboard submarine tender USS Emory S. Land (AS 39), leads the way as part of a spiritual hike to Tarzan Falls, a local Guam attraction. The hike was organized by the ship’s Chaplain to provide Sailors a stress free environment during September’s nationwide Suicide Awareness month. Emory S. Land is a forward deployed expeditionary submarine tender on an extended deployment conducting coordinated tended moorings and afloat maintenance in the U.S. 5th and 7th Fleet areas of responsibility.
