A 167th aircrew member practices lighting his "Wetfire," which is the fire starting tender that is provided in the aircrew's survival vest. To achieve a spark, the aircrew member uses the Strikeforce fire starting kit. The Strikeforce kit combines a special alloy flint bar, hardened steel striker and Wet Fire Tinder. These skills are demonstrated and practiced during their survival, evasion, resistance and escape (SERE) training refresher course.
