The 167th aircrew members utilize their Combat Survivor Evader Locator (CSEL) radio to find their next point that they must travel to. After they get that point, the radio will also give them the bearing they need to head on to find that point. These skills are demonstrated and practiced during their survival, evasion, resistance and escape (SERE) training refresher course.
